TGI is Altered Brilliance’s dynamic gaming-performance profile. The tGiX™ algorithm turns approved interaction and session signals into an evolving, explainable index.
The Gamer Index is a holistic 0–100 profile across eight gaming-relevant dimensions. It is designed to move with the player as more approved data becomes available, rewarding evidence and continuity instead of reducing play to win or loss.
TGI
The player-facing index
Overall score, percentile context, dimensions, history, and readable insight.
tGiX™
The calculation system
Validation, normalization, context, stabilization, growth, and optional calibration.
The implemented calculation uses versioned weights and renormalizes around available inputs. An optional Parasocial Index can add narrative resonance and real-world carryover when that data exists.
Strategic planning, logical deduction, and resource decisions.
Abstract reasoning, spatial awareness, and temporal sequencing.
Task switching, improvisation, and perspective changes.
Interface efficiency, optimization, and rule comprehension.
Hand-eye coordination and reaction-time signals.
Frustration tolerance, persistence, and recovery from tilt.
Working, procedural, and long-term recall.
Energy, clarity, and positive affect as contextual state.
Self-assessments, focus completions, XP, streaks, achievements, Companion Mode sessions, and eligible gameplay-session summaries form the current input surface.
The tGiX™ algorithm validates and normalizes granular sub-variables into comparable 0–100 skill signals.
Current state, session quality, momentum, and process-skill dependencies adjust the raw profile without letting one session define the player.
Historical averages, engagement growth, and bounded streak logic create an evolving profile rather than a volatile match score.
TGI produces an overall score, percentile context, dimension breakdowns, and a dated history that the player can inspect over time.
The repository contains the Gamer Index screens, onboarding, calculation client and service, versioned constants, database history, and a production Supabase Edge Function. The product is deployed on Google Play, with iOS planned.
GamePilot can use player-approved Gamer Index context to personalize questions and reflection without treating the score as a verdict. Explore GamePilot.
TGI is not a medical diagnosis, a measure of personal worth, or a guarantee of improvement. It should not replace professional assessment or be treated as an employment or eligibility decision by itself.
Its value is longitudinal: helping a player inspect patterns, context, effort, and change across their own gaming journey.
The Human Index applies independently designed mathematics to recent wellbeing signals inside Arzenal.
