Overview

This study examines the association between video gaming experience, spatial cognition, and laparoscopic surgical skills in medical students. The findings indicate a positive correlation, suggesting that video games could be a useful tool in surgical education. However, the research also highlights potential negative impacts of excessive gaming on these skills. The results underscore the potential of integrating video gaming into surgical training programs while also cautioning against the downsides of too much gaming.
